Jimmy Wood first became a Race Tech support rider in 2006. When Jimmy was finally big enough to throw a leg over a bike he and his cousin Alex started racing together under the supervision of Jimmy's father.
Jimmy says having his father's influence as well as his brother as a competitor and friend has been a huge positive influence on his racing. Jimmy and Alex would motivate and encourage each other to go faster and do better as they continued to grow.
Jimmy was given the opportunity to race at a pro level when he was 16 and did better than expected. Jimmy and his dad decided this could become a career if he could improve on his already impressive pace.
Since then, Jimmy has become one of the premier amateur road racers and is highly respected in the flat track community. In 2011 Jimmy took a big step and began his first full National Pro season in the AMA Flat Track Series.
Jimmy is a phenominal representative for us as well as all his sponsors. Keep your eye on him.
