2009 Rider Support Update....


Race Tech riders are having another great year in local, regional, national, and international competition! We are really proud of the riders and teams that have chosen to race with us.

Team Ti-Lube has been fast all year on the AMA Supercross West Lites circuit. Alex Martin posted great results and Ben Evans had a top-ten finish at the season opener. Team Ti-Lube choose Race Tech to elevate their privateer bikes!

In other news, Bruce Rutherford has recently graduated from the amateur ranks and has earned his AMA Pro License by placing in the top-5 at Arenacross races. He has earned two points thus far in the first two rounds of AMA motocross comps.

 Women's Motocross

If you have not witnessed the progression of Women's Motocross, just check out the style of Sherri Cruse! These women are going fast and have now been recognized by the AMA Nationals as a keystone event for spectators.

Sherri Cruse took home a podium finish at the first and third rounds of the WMA 2009 Nationals. She placed fourth at round two in Hangtown and sits in 3rd place overall.

Nitro Circus stunt girl, Jolene Van Vugt has recently joined forces with Race Tech to provide her suspension needs. We will be working on her Nitro Circus bikes and her 2009 Gravity Games supercross machine.

Road Race

In the AMA Superstock class, Race Tech' s David Anthony of Aussie Dave Racing sits 9th in points in the AMA Daytona Superbike class. On a privateer Suzuki GSX-R1000 with Race Tech's all-new G3-S Custom Series Shock and G2-R 25mm Cartridge Kit in the front end, he has consistently finished in the top-10.

At the World Superbike event at Miller Motorsports Park David finished second in the Utah SBA/Larry H. Miller Superbike Challenge.

Liberty Waves Racing riders Eric Pinson and Eric Haugo have recently placed fourth in the AMA Moto-GT class at Road America. Aussie Dave Racing took pole position in the same Moto-GT competition. The Four Feathers Racing/Toyota Trucks team recently earned a third place superpole with team rider Bobby Fong.

In Canada, Acceleration Racings Clint McBain and Chad Matechuk stirred up the pits at the first round of the Canadian Series when they showed up with new Race Tech suspension on the privateer Suzuki dealer GSXR's. Using the all-new G3-S Custom Series Shocks and 25mm Cartridge Kits, McBain finished a close fourth in the superbike class.

Meanwhile, Matechuk claimed the top spot on the podium box when he out dueled his closest competitor on the last lap to take victory in the 600 amateur class. In the process of winning the race he set a new track record! At round 2, Matechuck took pole position, placed second and now has a hold of the championship points!

Regional Racers Shannon Moham, Arnold Hastings, and Chad Hinton have all won races in 2009 using Race Tech's 25mm cartridge Kit and G3-S shocks. Each is leading their respected championships. Moham has already tasted victory 3 times at the MRA race from Motorsports Park Double header weekend May 23-25. While Hinton leads the WERA Mid-Atlantic D Superbike championship and he recently won at Summit Point. Hastings currently leads the CCS Combined Experts Overall Points.

Race Tech's Weston Orloff took the 2008 AHRMA Battle of the Twins Formula 2 championship aboard his Buell 1125R.

By the way, at the time of this newsletter Race Tech riders have set 6 track records since the introduction of the G3-S Shock at Daytona just 3 1/2 months ago! Way to go guys and way to go Lenny Albin our Road Race Track Tuning Specialist.

Former AMA Unlimited Champion Micky Dymond has moved to the premier 450 class this year and recently placed a strong 2nd at the Las vegas round. Micky nearly won the Main on his way to moving into 5th place points.

Micky's teammate of the CHM Exhaust Team, Sylvan Bidart, finished 2nd at the season opener and is currently 2nd in the points chase.


If you have not heard of Steve Leivan in the off-road community you should view his website. He has won over 16 Missouri state championships and qualified for ISDE, Endurocross events and the Red Bull Last Man Standing.

Zip Ty Racing's Nick Burson has been ripping up the desert on his Race Tech suspended Husky! He has won AMA D-37, Big-6 and BITD thus far in 2009.

Last season, Brian Garrahan won the 2008 West Coast AMA District 36 and Hare Scrambles Championships using Race Tech suspension.


Russell Shoemaker came all the way from Wisconsin to Race Tech here in So Cal to tune his Kawasaki for the 2009 AMA and WORCS races. His machines are equipped with Race Tech's all-new G3-S Custom Series shocks and together they have earned great results!
