Team HB Riders are the "Young Lions" at the Canada Cup Atv Races

Seventeen year old Tyler Summers and eighteen year old Ben Hodgson are the ‘up and comers’ of the CMRC ATV Racing circuit in Ontario Canada. Tyler Summers is already in his second full season in the pro ranks and has shown the speed and poise to run in the top three regularly. This weekend’s action at Motopark near Owen Sound was no exception. In the intense heat race many veteran pros opted to drop down a class and race Pro-Am to benefit from shorter motos and less intense competition. This was not an option for the young lions Summers and Hodgson as the relished the chance to race against Ontario and Quebec’s best riders. Summers in fact took on the extra challenge of racing both Pro and Pro-am races and picked up a pair of wins in his class.

In Saturday's Pro races Summers finished third and fifth and Hodgson had a pair of forth place finishes to tie the boys for third over all with KTM factory rider James Bank. Greg Gee took the win with Can-am’s Richard Pelechat in second.

Sunday's event saw the usual 3 up front with Gee, Pelechat and Bank on the podium, with Summers in fourth and Hodgson in fifth to round out moto one. The story remained the same story in Moto two for Summers who finished in fourth behind Gee, Pelechat and Bankbut. As for Hodgson, who had a rare DNF due to chain failure. Summers once again ran away with Sundays Pro-am Races.

Both racers are excellent representatives of their sport and are gaining recognition with young racers and parents alike with their friendly demeanor and positive attitudes.

The next Event for the boys is the MMRS Provincial race in Madoc this coming weekend where Hodgson holds a small points lead over Summers.
